Central Library

Government Medical College, Virudhunagar features a fully functional Central Library that caters to both conventional and digital learning needs, creating a rich academic atmosphere for students. The library holds a collection of over 4,230 books, including essential textbooks and reference guides, and subscribes to 55 scholarly journals, comprising 45 from within India and 10 international titles, offering students access to the latest advancements in medical science.

The library operates within air-conditioned premises, divided into Level I and Level II reading areas, collectively accommodating up to 300 students. These sections are spacious and designed to promote a calm and focused study environment.

Beyond its physical collection, the institution also provides accessible study resources to students, enriching their academic journey. A dedicated digital library portal grants access to a wide range of e-books, online journals, and academic databases, ensuring that learners stay informed about current global trends and research in the medical field.
